A Brief Moment
15 September 2009
In a bisnuess which many people say that people take themselves to serious, it’s a joy to see a little moment like this.
This brief moment of happiness was captured during my latest shoot, I really like this photo.
Things are moving forwards here, so hopefully more action coming soon for your eyes to enjoy.
Until then, take care and have a wonderfull Tuesday afternoon!

40's Shoot
9th of September 2009
So it’s been a while since I’ve updated (again!). But bare with me, here comes some behind the scenes images from a shoot that took place the last weekend of September in Uppsala.
We had a really tight schedule for this one, and still we started the morning at the crack of dawn. Our first model Cecilia and stylist Stina turned up for 0630 to start of doing the make-up.
Enjoy :)

Many Steps Forward
Wednesday 1st of July 2009
It’s been a long time since I’ve had the chance to update stuff here, many things have happened during the past few months.
I’ll start of telling you lot that I’ve finally done a shoot again, it took a long while but it’s been done and went successfully.
Big thank you to Peppe Ericsson for lending me his studio for the Beauty shoot, the concept is to keep it clean and natural. With a wonderful model like Linnea and superb make-up from the stunning Elva Ahlbin you just can’t fail.

The final cropp is the one above, I'm still not sure I like it more. Time will show.

I’ve also been given the chance to continue to work with Erik Lindvall, and have been photographer assistant on both domestic and international editorial magazine shoots. I’ll be able to show you them later on when there published.
I’ve got a few bigger test shoots to do this summer so hopefully I won’t be as inactive as I’ve been the past few months.
That’s all I’ve got time for this time, take care everyone hope to hear from you guys!
Cheers,
Dominic Hedgecock
UPDATE
18th of April 2009
Don’t worry people I’m still alive, even though there hasn’t been any sort of updates lately.
I’ve been travelling back and forth to Stockholm lately having meetings, and if everything turns out I think this can become very interesting with a move to Stockholm in the near future.
Since time hasn’t exactly been on my side I haven’t done any real planned shoots lately, but you always have the fun five minutes of inspiration with my girl on the weekend, so I’ll share on of photos from one of those moments bellow.
Hope everyone’s doing well, and hopefully I’ll try and structure everything within the near future. Stay tuned to find out!
Take Care,

INSPIRAITON: Nick Knight
1st of April
Today’s input will be about another photographer I very much admire, Nick Knight. This is an editorial from Vogue UK, December edition 2008. You see I can actually admire colors in images!
Enjoy!
PS. I’m in big need of studio access in either Uppsala or Stockholm, since my cash flow is more or less nothing, the only thing I can negotiate with is either retouch or jumping is as an assistant. Also looking for available freelance assistant jobs and apprenticeship, contact me on the following email. Greenbeard89@hotmail.com
Have a wonderful day,

INSPIRATION: Paolo Roversi
27th March 2009
So today’s a kind of different input here, since I’ve not been shooting for a while I thought at least I could share some things in life that inspire me. So today I start with one of many photographers whom I find very inspiring, today’s photographer is Paolo Roversi.
The bellow images are from his editorial “League Uniform”, in L ‘Uomo Vogue – February 2000. I love the way Paolo works the old school black and white techniques and large-format Polaroid films. The way he makes everything seem so effortless, yet unique. I love it, so enjoy and have a wonderful weekend.

Dodge/Burn
25th of March 2009
As you guys know I haven’t been shooting at all recently, so it’s been more time to practice retouch techniques and improve the retouch work on my current portfolio images.
I thought it could be a fun thing to show you guys what you can do with one of my favorite current techniques in Photoshop, the dodge/burn tool. By using this for skin retouching you never lose the texture of the skin, you never copy skin from another part of the body therefore changing the texture, you simply blend in the skin.
Sadly this technique as everything else that gives quality results requires a lot of free time and even more patience, so it’s been a big test for me. Anyway less talking more showing, this is the results of a few hours with dodge/burn. I’ll show you both my previous retouch of the image and the current one now.
Yet again I know I’m absolutely hopeless at updating the blog but at the moment to be honest I don’t have very much to share with you, incept insight of my current life, and what’s going on etc. with future plans.
Have a nice day everyone, finally some sun here in Sweden.
PS. Big congratulation to my friend Fredrik Ericsson whose signed for Fashion Models in Milano, and also a big well done to Henrik Ahlgren who strutted his stuff three times during the Barcelona Fashion Week!

Arachnophobia
20th of March 2009
I’m still alive just been as always a busy, in whatever way I seem to accomplish that, god knows how! Things are turned up a notch lately as I’ve sent out loads of assistant applications to some of Scandinavia’s top fashion photographer, hoping for the chance to assist them. Now all that’s left is to hope they welcome me!
Anyway enough about that, it’s Friday and as it seems to frequently happen Friday is the day when new images are posted, so here’s my little celebration that it’s finally weekend! This is the final shoot from the week in Stockholm, together with young designer Stina Randestad. Stina’s design was inspired by the fact that one of her biggest phobias is spiders, and from then forwards things just developed. Must say she’s a very creative lady whom I believe will go far in the industry.
Leonie Alber was the shoots model, whilst Therese Carpenhammer from Borlänge did hair and Make Up. Hope you guys enjoy!
Further news on future plans seem to abruptly change, I was meant to shoot a model that had just signed for the big agency Fashion in Milano on Sunday, but things just didn’t work out probably and the shoot was postponed. Anyway I’ll try and keep you guys as updated as possible, I know I haven’t been very faithful lately, but I’ll try to change that.
Hope you lot have a wonderful weekend,
Take Care
